Ellinger Tomato Fest Details Set

    Ellinger Tomato Fest Details Set

The 89th Tomato Festival will be May 29-31. There will be a BBQ cook off Friday and Saturday with live music both nights, along with Mason Jar drink trailer and R&R shaved ice trailer. Try your hand at the Tomato Toss contest at 4 p.m. on Saturday and win cash prizes. The live auction is on Saturday at 7 p.m. just after a grilled steak contest. Tell the kids to bring the swimsuit for a water slide on Saturday.. The weekend concludes with a drive through fried chicken lunch beginning at 10:30 a.m. for $15 a plate.

Shared Lutheran Ministry There will not be any church services Sunday, May 24 at St. John Lutheran in Ellinger. All four SLM churches will worship together at St. John Lutheran in Rutersville at 9:30 a.m.

SLM Day Camp will be the week of June 8 in Rutersville. Drop off as early at 7:45 a.m. and pick up at 12:15 p.m. There is no charge for camp. Please call the office at (979) 249-3155 for details.

St. John in Warrenton will have a dedication for the new playscape. This ice cream social will be from 3-5 p.m. on May 24.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church St. Mary’s Catholic

Church mass is Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.
