Demel Celebrates 100th Birthday

A beloved member of the Catholic Daughters community recently celebrated an extraordinary milestone as Lois Demel marked her 100th birthday.
In honor of the occasion, Court St. Rose presented Lois with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and announced that she has been enrolled in the Texas State CDA Memorial Scholarship Fund. Through the Memorial Scholarship program, Lois will be remembered in a Holy Mass offered on the First Friday of each month for one year.
The celebration recognized not only Lois’ century of life, but also her years of faith, friendship, and dedication to the organization and community.
Lois shared that the occasion has felt less like a single birthday and more like an extended celebration.
“It’s like a month-long celebration,” she said with gratitude and joy.
Reaching 100 years is a remarkable achievement, and those who know Lois say her kindness, faith, and positive spirit continue to inspire everyone around her.
