Best Bluebonnet Field in Texas Located Right Here in Fayette Co.?

On Highway 71, just east of Kitchen Lane between La Grange and Ellinger, there’s a stunning field of bluebonnets, and the world has noticed.

Someone online dubbed it the “Best Bluebonnet field in Texas” and in the last few days people have been coming there in droves. Local resident Annette Cooper said she recently saw between 75-100 people there on a recent afternoon. “It has gone viral and there are boatloads of people stopping there. It’s ridiculous,” Cooper said. She sent us the above photo of the field filled with visitors, and the photo on the right with dozens of cars parked along the Highway 71 shoulder.
