ArtWalk 2026 Applications Now Open
All artists can now apply for ArtWalk, the annual juried art show and exhibition voted “Best Cultural Event” by the readers of the Fayette County Record. Deadline to apply is Friday, Jan. 16 at 11:59 p.m. The exhibition awards over $6,000 in cash prizes.
Held on the Fayetteville square, Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3, there is no charge for attendance at this must-attend event for art enthusiasts, families and art and craft collectors.

Opening Reception
An opening reception will be held at ARTS Ross Gallery on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 4-6 p.m. showcasing local talent Stephen Henry in his new solo show “Paintings, Prints, and Peculiar Pieces.” Working in the studio and en plein air, Henry captures soulful landscapes and western scenes with masterful brushwork and vibrant color.

Fayetteville City Council The next City Council meeting is this Monday at 7 p.m. in the City offices. City Council meetings are usually held every third Monday of the month. This meeting is being rescheduled for Jan 12, due to the Martin Lutheran King Jr. holiday on Jan 19.
Three Fayetteville City Council seats are up for reelection: Place V, Place III and Place 1.
Applications for these seats may be received beginning Wednesday, Jan. 14 and must be completed by Friday, Feb. 13 by 5 p.m. Qualified candidates must be a registered voter and must reside in the Fayetteville city limits.

Mobile Food Pantry
The Central Texas Mobile Food Pantry will be at St. John on Wednesday, Jan 14 from 10 to 11 a.m. Walk up to the entrance and bring bags or carts for pickup.
St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.
St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.
St. Mary Catholic Church St. Mary Catholic Church in Ellinger holds Mass on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s at 8 a.m.
Fayetteville Brethren
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9 to 9:45 a.m.
