LG Golfer Grant Juno is FCR’s Inaugural Player of the Week

Editor’s note: Just because athletes aren’t currently playing doesn’t mean we can’t still highlight the accomplishments they made before the sports season was suspended because of the coronavirus. Here’s the Fayette County Record’s first Player of the Week feature. We’re going to try to do this weekly. Coaches, send nominations by email to: jeff@fayettecountyrecord.com

La Grange High School golfer Grant Juno has had quite the season thus far. He’s won or placed top three in all the tournaments he’s played in and even carded a hole-in-one in a scramble event last summer. Head Coach James Zaruba described the kind of impact Juno brings to the team. “It’s the way he carries himself,” said Zaruba. “He’s confident and always pushes himself to do better. Everybody’s proud of what he does for the team. Always polite, comes to shake my hand, and tells me what he wants to work on. He holds himself accountable.” Juno participated in a question and answer interview regarding golf along with his interests off the course.
