LG Council Roundup: City Puts Hope Hill Annexation on Hold

Highlights from Monday’s La Grange City Council meeting:

• The council voted seven to one to postpone a vote on trying to annex the portion of the Hope Hill housing development at 808 N. Horton St. The proposed annexation was at the request of the property owners.

Ken Taylor made the motion to table the annexation saying he’d like to hear more about the pros and cons of annexing the area. Six other council members agreed with only John Cernosek casting a dissenting vote.

• City manager Shawn Raborn said he expected to see plans from the Texas Department of Transportation “any time” for the new business 71 bridge, which will be adjacent to existing bridge.
