Year-and-a-Half Later Water Garden Rises from the Floodwaters

Midway Water Gardens was not prepared for that much water.

Even though the local water gardening service and supply business was located about a mile and a half from the Colorado River outside Ellinger, the floodwaters of Hurricane Harvey a yearand-a-half ago still swallowed up the business that was started by Dustin Machinsky back in 2001.

The river actually swelled to about two miles wide in that area near the Fayette and Colorado County lines after the storm.
