Lady Leps Hand Flatonia Girls Their First Loss of the Season

Before they hit the Thanksgiving break, the La Grange and Flatonia girls basketball teams battled Tuesday night, with the Lady Leps prevailing 58-30.

“We’ve got a young team, a lot to work on this season, but this game really boosted our confidence,” said La Grange sophomore Megan Brothers, who led the team in scoring Tuesday with 14 points.

La Grange’s record is now 3-4, while Tuesday’s loss was Flatonia’s first of the season after four consecutive wins.

“If you had told me we’d be 4-1 before Thanksgiving, I never would have imagined it,” said Flatonia head coach Tandy Betak. “We’ve played no one our size, all bigger opponents.
