Victorian Art Contest Winners Include Fayette Co. Inspiration

The 3rd Annual Hallet Oak Gallery “Art in Architecture Contest” partnering with Texas Society of Architects was held on June 9.

Overall, Savanna Filip of Hallettsville took home three awards for her two color photography entries of the Fayette County Courthouse built by J. Riely Gordon. Savanna Filip’s awards include the $200 prize for the Best of Show and she won First and Second Place for the Teen Category.

In the Children’s Division, Kade Immekus won First Place for his black and white photography of the J. Riely Gordon mansion, which is best known as the J.F. Miller House in Gonzales. Alyssa Smith won Second Place for a color photograph of Prince of Peace, Sweet Home, Texas.
