Schulenburg Council Hits Snag Formulating ‘Vision Statement’

It takes a long time to write a vision statement. Just ask the Schulenburg City Council. They tried writing one for three and a half hours at a special workshop meeting Monday night, June 11.

They came up with a long list of keywords and a few ideas for a one-sentence summary of their vision for the City.

“Maybe we can revisit this in a year,” said recently-elected councilman Geoffrey Schiffli at the end of Monday’s meeting. Schiffli requested the meeting “to discuss the City planning and vision,” as stated in the only agenda item from Monday night.
