Three Women Injured in Wreck on 77

A wreck on US 77 north of Schulenburg Thursday morning, May 10, sent three women to the emergency room.

The wreck happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of US 77 and Herzik Road. According to a report from DPS Trooper Tyler McCoy, 80-yearold Billie Ann Graem of Schulenburg was driving a beige 2016 Lincoln MKX north on 77. Ahead of her was a 2001 Peterbilt truck-tractor pulling an empty flatbed trailer. The rig belonged to Specialized Transport Services, Inc. of Garden Ridge. Scott O’Neil Nowlin, 32 of Kerville, was driving the 18-wheeler. McCoy’s report said Nowlin was taking a wide right turn onto Herzik Road when the Lincoln approached and struck the back right portion of the trailer. Mc- Coy issued Graem a ticket for failure to control speed, which he listed as the cause of the accident.
