Hartmann, Berger to Face Off In Justice of the Peace Runoff

After Tuesday’s voting, Kyle Hartmann and Andy Berger advance to the runoff in the Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Race. Hartmann collected 532 votes followed by Andy Berger with 374 votes. The news a day before the election about the third challenger, Michael Peck, removing some of Berger’s signs from a yard in La Grange did not help Peck in the election. He collected 187 votes in early voting, just two votes behind Berger at the time, but gathered only 95 on election day, for a total of 282.

“Thank you to all the voters,” Hartmann said on Wednesday. “This campaign has been a humbling experience and I wouldn’t have made it this far without your support. However, the work isn’t over yet as we are headed to a May runoff. Thank you for your encouragement and thank you for your support.”

“I would like to thank all of my supporters who had the confidence in me, to come out and vote. I hope to maintain your continued endorsement,” Berger said. “Now it’s on to the primary run-off election on May 22.”
