Fayetteville Girls Remain Undefeated

Lady Leps Fall 47-30 at Moulton

Thirty-two members of the Fayette County Retired Teachers Association met in the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church on Monday, Nov. 13. Many members arrived early to set up tables and bid sheets for the silent auction. Fellowship refreshments were provided by Carolyn West, Sandra Aschenbeck, and Marceil Prestridge. President Melanie Mica led the pledges to the American and Texas flags to open the meeting.

Linda Oltmann introduced guest speakers Lodie Massey and Craig Borchardt from Hospice Brazos Valley. Massey is a former volunteer and now volunteer coordinator for Hospice Brazos Valley. As one of the first Physician Assistants in Texas, she worked in clinical, administrative, and educational positions for over 35 years. She retired from the faculty of The University of Texas Medical Branch, School of Health Professions in 2012. Massey spoke about the need, role, and training for hospice volunteers.
