Antiques Crowds Were Smaller This Fall Season

Another antiques fair is in the books. There is nothing left along SH 237 but tattered tents and shade shelters and dealers loading out the goods they weren’t able to sell. They will bring it all back next March.

So how did it go this time – the first time the event stretched over four weekends?

Round Top Mayor Barnell Albers, who has a venue of his own on a triangle of land between his home on White Street and the highway, said “It appears attendance was down. It is running too long, some of the major venues were open on different schedules which had people confused.”
