Another Schulenburg Festival’s in the Books

A little rain didn’t stop the good times at the Schulenburg Festival this weekend.

An inch of rain fell in Schulenburg on Friday night, Aug. 4. The rodeo and carnival rides shut down for the night due to the rain. Clear skies returned on Saturday, which brought out a standing-room-only crowd to the Saturday night rodeo

Shenandoah, the headline music act Friday night, played a show packed with country hits from the 1990s under the roof in the Wolters Park Pavilion. Saturday night drew a big crowd for fiddler and singer Sam Riggs and a dance by the Texas Unlimited Band that continued well after midnight.
