Opry to Feature Ken Brothers April 17

La Grange School Board incumbent Rudolph Voss won reelection by one vote in Saturday’s election for Place 7. He got 405 votes, while his challenger, Joe G. Bargas of Holman, brought in 404. Sacred Heart Altar Society Met March 6

The Sacred Heart Altar Society members met on Monday, March 6, in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Parish Center. The meeting was opened with a prayer followed by the standard reports by the secretary, treasurer, and assistant treasurer. Seventeen ladies attended the meeting. Schulenburg Picks Superintendent

Julie Motomura has been named the lone finalist for the Schulenburg superintendent vacancy. Most recently she served as a the federal programs coordinator for the Region 5 Education Service Center in Beaumont. She will replace Duane Limbaugh who left Schulenburg ISD in January to become the superintendent in White Deer ISD.
