He idly picked up a Marine Corps recruiting brochure lying on a table and read it, even though the attitude of most Americans at the time was to let Europe fights its own wars.

May 8 Designated John ‘Honza’ Cernosek Day in the City of LG

John “Honza” Cernosek will step down from the La Grange City Council this month after more than 26 years in office. “For these last 26 years, I’ve had a good time,” Cernosek said.

Gonzalez Resigning Council Seat

La Grange Ward 4 Councilman Quenten Gonzalez told the Record that he plans to resign from the Council at the May 22 meeting. Gonzalez said he and his family are moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

‘Extra Texas’ the Focus of New Quilt Exhibits
