Leps Grab Second Place in 20-4A

The La Grange boys basketball team punctuated their strong regular season with an exclamation mark. In a battle to decide second place in District 20-4A in the regular season finale Friday, La Grange came out hot, jumped out to 17-2 lead in the game’s first few minutes and held on for a 57-38 win.

Schulenburg Gets Revenge vs. Thrall, Rolls to Playoff Victory

The weather outside was frightful, and the Schulenburg girls basketball team made sure the conditions inside the gym weren’t any better for Thrall. One day after their bidistrict playoff game in Caldwell was moved back a day because of winter weather, these two teams met up in La Grange, and the Lady Horns needed only a few minutes to show this would be a blowout.

Limbaugh to Run for Texas Tech

Taylor Limbaugh signed her letter of intent to run cross country and track and field at Texas Tech University next year. Bulldogs Basketball Improves to 23-2

The Flatonia boys basketball team finished their regular season Friday with a 48-36 victory over Ganado. Holden Kloesel scored a game-high 22 points as the Bulldogs improved to 23-2 overall and 11-1 in district.

Railroad Maintenance Continues In Muldoon

When out and about be sure to watch out for the railroad crews that are working along FM154. They are replacing ties and repairing other issues along the line. There are lots of vehicles and machinery parked along the road as they bring in the crews to do the work.

K-9 Unit Seizes Cocaine

Fayette County Sheriff’s Dept. reports that on Wednesday, Feb. 10 the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Canine Unit, Sgt. Winter Band Concert Held

La Grange High School Band held its Winter Band Concert Monday at the high school gym. This concert was held instead of the usual Christmas Concert which was cancelled this year. The high school band is split into two performance groups, and each performed separate concerts Monday. Tickets for the event were limited and social distancing and mask guidelines were in place. Man Arrested for Trepassing at Park Prairie Park
