Leps Light Up the Scoreboard for First Win of the Season

The Leopards treated a big homecoming crowd to an offensive showcase Friday that earned La Grange its first win of the season. La Grange and Splendora combined for 110 points and nearly 1,000 yards of offense before the Leps prevailed 6347.

The La Grange varsity volleyball team defeated Austin Achieve Friday 25-15, 2512, 25-14 as the Lady Leps improved to 14-20 overall and 2-2 in district. Carley Ulrich led La Grange in kills Friday with nine and Kylie Trlicek had seven.

Blinn Offers Medication Aide Refresher

KJZT St. Anne’s Society Meeting Held August 16

The meeting of the KJZT St. Anne’s Society No. 10 was called to order at 1 p.m. on Aug. 16 at St. John’s Recreation Hall. President Mary Jane Toddy opened the meeting with prayers for all living members and their families and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. Narcotics in Mailbox Leads to Man’s Arrest

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Sept. 16, Deputy James Ulbig was dispatched to a residence on Old Plum Hwy. regarding USPS locating narcotics in a mailbox. Upon Deputy Ulbig’s arrival, the narcotics had been removed.

1973: Two Local Car Thefts Attributed to Same Subject

A 1973 Ranchero stolen from an E. Fannin St. address in La Grange shortly before midnight Saturday was abandoned at Ellinger where it had run out of gas. Missing from Ellinger was a 1973 Monto Carlo containing several prized guns.
