BEC Awards $63,000 to Fire Departments

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors unanimously voted to award $1,000 grants to all 63 fire departments that protect and serve communities in the cooperative’s 14-county service area. These grants are in recognition for the outstanding job the departments have done this summer.

Crash Victim Identified

Texas Department of Public Safety released a preliminary report on the fatal 18-wheeler crash on Interstate 10 last Friday. The report identified the deceased as 52-year-old Nathan Gentry of Houston.
