The Fayetteville baseball team beat Moulton 15-0 Wednesday as Jack Schley and Chance Konvicka combined to pitch a one-hitter, striking out 11. The game was called after four innings because of the mercy rule.

La Grange senior Cordale Knapik cleared 14 feet to win the Region III-4A pole vault title last week in Bullard. That earns Knapik a berth at the state meet in Austin May 1.
In Round Top-Carmine’s two biggest games of the season last week against Richards, sophomore William Neese came up huge. In an 8-0 victory Neese came within two outs of a complete game shutout, striking out 15.
La Grange ISD approved the hiring of a new head volleyball and head girls soccer coach Monday – Brittany Oruonyehu. For the last four years she has served as the head coach of both those sports at El Campo and is just a few days removed from a run all the way to the soccer state semifinals.
