La Grange native Garry Dippel was officially inducted into the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley’s Athletic Hall of Fame earlier this spring. In his speech at the banquet on March 22, Dippel had a lot of people to thank for his college baseball career from 1978 to 1980 at the school, which used to be called Texas Pan-American.
