Supak Promoted to Rangers Triple-A Baseball Squad

La Grange native Trey Supak was promoted Friday from the Texas Rangers Double-A minor league affiliate in Frisco to their triple- A team in Round Rock. Supak has a 7-3 record this season with a 4.06 ERA in 75.1 innings pitched.

Chaloupka to Pole Vault for Arkansas State

There’s no grass growing under Katharina Chaloupka’s feet as she has been on the move in athletics since grade school at Weimar ISD. Her diligent efforts in pole vault included not only a regiment of training and running in school under Coach Terra Griffin, but excelling and continuance of precision training with Advanced Athletics Club in Sealy under renowned Coach Clayton Fritsch (originally Frio Vault under Coach Jeff Brandes).

La Grange High School Hires New Head Softball Coach

La Grange ISD has hired Ted Ferretti of Brenham as their new head softball coach. He replaces Robert Young, who coached the Lady Leps the last two years and went 18-10 overall and 8-2 in district last season. The school stated: “Having coached at both the Texas 6A and collegiate levels, Coach Ferretti is prepared to lead a program rich in history and tradition. He holds a Master’s Degree inAthleticAdministration from Concordia University–Irvine and multiple Texas teaching certifications. His commitment to mentorship, academic achievement, and community engagement aligns perfectly with the values of La Grange ISD.” Coach Ferretti and his wife, Stacy, reside in Brenham with their three children: Maddie, a senior at Brenham High School; Macie, a sophomore; and Luke, a graduating senior at Sam Houston State.

On Pointe Dancers Reach New Heights

Students from On Pointe Studio and Events in Schulenburg traveled to Dallas/ Fort Worth the week of June 16-22 to perform their 25 dances at the National Competition Dance Showcase USA. On Pointe competed with 47 studios from Texas and Oklahoma.
