La Grange Slams Smithville 41-7

With dozens of former Leopard state champs watching, the current crop of La Grange football players rose to the occasion. The Leps slammed Smithville 41-7 Friday on a night when the 1975 and 2000 La Grange state champ football teams were honored on the “Night of Champions” at Leopard Stadium.

Chovanec Wins $100 Football Pot

1975 Leps Dominate Childress

From the pages of the Tuesday, December 23, 1975 edition of the Fayette County Record: The fantastic La Grange Leopards who have figured out just about every imaginable way to prove their superiority on the football field, took a new page from the play book at Abilene’s P.E. Shotwell Stadium last Friday night as they defeated the Childress Bobcats, 27 to 6, to win the 1975 Texas Class AA high school championship.
