LG Team Tennis Squad Headed to the Playoffs

La Grange Team Tennis played its final regular season match this week against Giddings and came away with a 15-4 victory. The win gave LG a 3rd place finish in district with a 5-2 record, and the #3 seed heading into the team tennis playoffs starting next week. First round playoff opponent, date and location to de determined. The team was led by the following players who won both of their matches: Eleanor Carey (Sr), Ella Nygren (Sr), Chris Morales (Jr), Braxton Landis (Jr), Lukas Lenhart (So), Hunter Gross (So), Rogan Mihatsch (So), Everett Cook (So) and Brooklyn Barber (So).

David Cooper Wins $100

For the second time in three weeks David Cooper has won our $100 reader football pick it contest. He was the only compet itor to get all 10 games right last week (very few pickers nailed the Holy Cross win over Weimar). We will try to get a picture of him accepting his winnings in Friday’s Record.

Schulenburg Football Team Falls to Brazos 65-18

The Schulenburg football team dropped its record to 1-3 with a 65-18 loss at Brazos Consolidated Friday. Brazos (4-0) amassed 565 total yards of offense in this one, while the Shorthorns were limited to 264 yards.

41 Points in The First Quarter!

It what very well may have been a school record for points in a quarter, La Grange scored 41 points in the first 12 minutes of Friday’s homecoming game against Taylor. Then the Leps cruised to a 55-18 victory as La Grange improved to 3-1 this season.
