La Grange Cross County Runs at Camp Tejas, LMS Hosts Home Meet

The Lady Leopard Cross Country team competed at the Camp Tejas Invitational hosted by Giddings on Friday, Sept. 26. The girls team finished 3rd place overall in the 1A-4A division out of 11 teams. Lillian Carey led the way with a 1st place finish. Other team member finishes were: Eleanor Carey 6th Miriam Lopez 14th Mylah Blaschke 16th Lacee Surman 26th Avery Harbers 39th Mattie Muzny 51st Cross Country is off this week with District Meet coming up Monday Oct. 6 at Camp Tejas.

Leps Fall 65-27 Against Navasota’s High-Flying Offense

The Navasota passing attack racked up 356 yards and five touchdowns through the air and the Leps couldn’t keep up, as La Grange fell 65-27 on homecoming night for the Rattlers Friday. “When you have good receivers and dynamic guys like they have, you have to be able to stay on top of them,” said La Grange head coach Kyle Cooper.

Lady Leps Open District With a Sweep of Navasota

The La Grange volleyball team opened district play with a commanding 25-16, 25-17, 25-10 victory at home over Navasota Tuesday. “We talked about focusing on finishing and you saw that tonight,” said La Grange head coach Ryan O’Neal.

Flatonia vs. Ganado

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday Where: At Flatonia Records: Both teams are 3-1. Of Note: Flatonia welcomes defending state champ Ganado to town this Friday in a battle of 3-1 teams. Ganado beat Flatonia 84-3 last season but the Indians graduated most of their starters from last season.
