Flatonia Volleyball Stuns Weimar

The Flatonia volleyball team stunned district-leading Weimar Friday in five sets, winning 26-24, 25-21, 22-25, 22-25 and 15-11. That vaults the Lady Bulldogs into a three-way tie atop the district standings with Schulenburg and Weimar, which all have 6-2 district records.

Schulenburg Puts a Scare Into Defending State Champs

The Schulenburg football team put a scare into a Ganado team that is the defending state champs before the Indians eventually prevailed 42-20 Friday. The Shorthorns led 14-0 in this one and 20-7 before Ganado scored the final 35 points of the game.
