The Schulenburg volleyball team beat Flatonia in a thrilling five set match Friday that earned the Lady Horns the District 27-2A title. Flatonia ends up as the district runner-up, and both teams will be in postseason action later this week.

La Grange native J.K. Dobbins ran for a team-high 111 yards as the Denver Broncos won their fifth game in a row by beating the Dallas Cowboys 44-24 Sunday.

La Grange High School grad Bravion Rogers continues to be a big factor for a Texas A&M football team that is undefeated and is ranked No. 3 in the nation and coming off a big win Saturday at LSU.

The La Grange volleyball team went to Caldwell and beat the Lady Horns 25-23, 25-19, 25-15 Friday in a battle to decide the runner-up in District 22-4A. The La Grange girls now head to the postseason where they will be the No.

The Flatonia football team lost to Kenedy 33-3 Friday on the road. Adrian Anderson ran for 112 yards on 21 carries for the Bulldogs, but Flatonia only managed 134 yards of total offense.

On a windy night in Caldwell the Leps turned their season around. La Grange snapped a three-game losing streak and jumped back in the playoff race with a 48-27 victory over the Hornets.

Round Top-Carmine senior middle blocker Jessica Rohde is an imposing force at the net for the Cubettes volleyball team which has started district play 5-0. She is usually among the offensive leaders for RTC and had a team-high 14 kills in a big match recently against Fayetteville.
