La Grange Boys Edge 5A Victoria East by Six Points

The La Grange boys basketball team got 19 points from Brandon Mathis and 10 from Conner Brooks as the Leps beat 5A Victoria East Friday at home 45-39. Both Mathis and Brooks grabbed a team-high nine rebounds in the game as well.

Janacek Continues Rewriting School Swim Record Book

One last test before Christmas. One last chance to race under the lights before the holiday break. The La Grange Leopards Swim Team hit the road Monday evening to take on Brenham and Huntsville— both 5A schools—closing out the semester against biggerschool competition and proving once again that heart and hard work travel well.

Jurecka Coming up Big for Fayetteville

Paige Jurecka is using her towering 5-foot-11 inch frame very well this season. Jurecka, who is just a sophomore, has emerged as an important weapon for the Fayetteville girls basketball team this season.

Fayetteville Beats RTC 49-26

In a district basketball battle between county neighbors, the Fayetteville girls used a big second half surge to defeat Round Top-Carmine 49-26 Tuesday. The Lady Lions led by just five points at halftime, but in the blink of an eye after halftime Fayetteville upped that lead to 15 points and never looked back.
