Leopard Boys Snag Second at Rockdale Soccer Tournament

The La Grange boys soccer team had a strong showing at the Rockdale Tournament last week, marching all the way to the title match before falling to Hudson. The Leopards defeated Lago Vista to start the tournament Thursday 2-1 with the first goal coming from Aaron Torres on an assist from Raul Marcena.

LG’s Bill Miller Inducted Into Baseball Hall of Honor

Every year, the San Antonio Area Baseball Coaches Association honors a chosen few exceptional coaches who make outstanding contributions to the development of their baseball program, to their players, and to the game itself. For 2025, Texas Lutheran University’s Director of Athletics Bill Miller was inducted into the SAABCA Hall of Honor.

Lady Leps Soccer Has Successful Week

The La Grange girls soccer team had a really, really impressive week, led by a freshman who is racking up a lot of goals. The Lady Leps went to Rice Consolidated Tuesday and won 5-0 as freshman Lily Banks scored four goals and another freshman, Raylee Gutierrez, scored one goal.

Leps Get Hot Late to Surge Past Gonzales in Basketball 45-29

After a defensive slugfest early, the La Grange boys basketball team found their groove offensively on the second half to beat Gonzales 4529 in their first home game of 2026. La Grange was clinging to a 15-14 lead at halftime, but Conner Brooks, Cole Collier and Hunter Gross had big second halves to clinch a win that improves the Leps’s record to 13-8 overall.

The Round Top-Carmine girls basketball team improved their record to 4-9 overall with a 37-29 victory over Hallettsville Sacred Heart Tuesday. Madison Markwardt led the Cubettes in scoring with nine points.
