The La Grange boys basketball team went to Smithville Friday and smashed the Tigers 69-23. The playoff bound La Grange boys are now 22-10 overall and 7-2 in district and will host Bellville at 7 p.m.

The Flatonia girls basketball team completed their dominant run through the regular season Tuesday with a 72-17 win over Ganado. The Lady Bulldogs are now 31-3 overall and their 12-0 mark in district wins them the 28-2A title.

The La Grange boys basketball team lost to Navasota at home Tuesday 64-32. The loss drops the Leps to 21-10 overall and 6-2 in district.

The La Grange softball team lost its season opener to Lexington Tuesday 3-1. Hannah Mitchell hit a triple and scored La Grange’s only run.

Ella Nygren and Kylie Trlicek have been playing basketball together since they were kindergarteners. Meanwhile, fellow senior LaDonije Lewis just transferred from Smithville to LHS her final year of high school, and couldn’t play the game she loved, but instead threw herself into being the best team manager she could be.

The Lady Leps punctuated their dominant regular season with an exclamation point. The La Grange girls completed their first undefeated run through district since 2021 with a 46-27 victory over Navasota Tuesday night.

The Fayetteville girls basketball team polished off a perfect 12-0 run through District 29-1A play with a 50-8 win over Richards Friday. The Lady Lions are 18-13 overall.
