Leps Baseball Goes 2-1 at First Tourney

The La Grange baseball team has started the season 2-1 after playing in three games at the Columbus Tournament last week. The Leps started the tourney losing 5-2 to the A&M Consolidated JV, despite two hits by Tristan Ulrich and doubles by Howard Holmes and Ryder Klesel.

LHS Golf Team Wins Home Tourney

Tuesday Feb. 17 the La Grange High School golf team hosted its home tournament at Frisch Auf Valley Country Club. The varsity boys team tied for 1st place with Bellville, but won the 5-man sudden death playoff hole to claim the 1st place medals. Individual accolades went to Adrian Meneses 2nd place with a score of 77 and Grady Kocian placed 4th, shooting an 80.

Boys Hoops Playoffs to Begin

The La Grange boys basketball team (23-10) opens the 4A playoffs with a first round game against Katy Freeman (18-14) Monday at 7 p.m. in Brenham.

Fayetteville Bashes Runge

The Fayetteville girls basketball team had no trouble winning its first round playoff game Tuesday, bashing Runge 54-27 in Flatonia. The Lady Lions improved to 19-14 overall with the win and now advance to face D’Hanis Friday at 8 p.m.

Lady Leps Dominate in Playoff Opener

The La Grange girls basketball team had a dominant postseason opener Monday as they beat Sealy 71-30 in Schulenburg to win the bidistrict title. The Lady Leps improved to 29-8 with the win and now face Salado (287) in the second round of the 4A playoffs Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Thrall. The winner of that game advances to face the Bridge City/Wheatley winner.

RTC Defense Shines in Playoff Opening Win

The Round Top-Carmine girls basketball team won its playoff opener Tuesday, beating Nordheim 48-13 at Yoakum High School. The Cubettes now advance to face Nueces Canyon Thursday at 6 p.m. in Johnson City.
