Schulenburg Beats Giddings, La Grange in Volleyball

The Schulenburg volleyball team beat a pair of 4A schools last week.
They downed Giddings in three sets Tuesday and then beat La Grange in four sets Friday, 28-26, 23-25, 25-20, 26-24.
The wins improved the Lady Horns’ record to 20-12.
Tuesday Landry Zapalac had 33 assists and 10 digs. Greenli Van Zandt had 19 kills and Haylee Vacek had 12.
Michaela Kollman and Jenna Guentert each had 13 digs.
On Friday Zapalac had 47 assists and 10 digs. Van Zandt had 16 kills, Vacek had 13 and Reagan Dusek had 11.
Guentert had 31 digs, Vacek had 19 and Kollmann and Miranda Bonner each had 13.
La Grange dropped to 1812 with the loss.
The Lady Leps host Cuero Tuesday at 6 p.m.
