Salinas Wins District Title to Lead RTC Distance Teams

The Round Top-Carmine cross country team placed second in both the boys and girls standings at the District 29-1A meet held on Oct. 9.

Fayetteville also had several runners place well.

The members of the district runner-up boys team from RTC were Caden Tovey (who was third), William Neese (who was 7th), Connor Fricke (who was 9th) and Facundo Cerda and Miles Neese.

Tyler Kolenovksy of Fayetteville was second individually.

The RTC girls runner-up team included Liliana Salinas (who was district champ), Hayden Kasmiersky (who was second), Morgan Nelius (who was 9th) and Jaelynn Ahrens and Cayden Nelius.

Fayetteville’s Saige Gasaway was 6th and Isabel Coufal was 7th.

The Regional Meet is on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Texas A&M Corpus Christi University, Dugan Track and Soccer Stadium. The 1A Varsity Girls will run at 10:30 a.m, followed by 1A Varsity Boys at 11 a.m.
