The Round Top-Carmine baseball team swept Richards 8-0 and 14-11 in a pair of games Tuesday that secures the Cubs the top spot in District 26-1A.
In the 8-0 victory, William Neese pitched 6.1 innings of two-hit ball, striking out 15. He also hit a home run.
Cash Robertson had three hits, drove in two and scored twice.
Cody Wunderlich hit a double.
In the 14-11 victory, four Cubs combined on the pitching effort – Carter Marburger, Miles Neese, Cody Wunderlich and Facundo Cerda.
William Neese, Cerda and Caden Tovey had hits for the Cubs in that game. Richards committed nine errors.
