Lady Leps Sweep Katy Freeman in 4A Bidistrict Match
The La Grange volleyball team dominated Katy Freeman in their 4A playoff opener Thursday in College Station, winning 25-23, 2515, 25-11.
The Lady Leps (27-16 overall), now advance to the area round where they will play Salado (32-13) on Monday, Nov, 3 at 6:30 p.m. in Thrall.
In last Thursday’s victory, Brion Williams led the team in kills with 11. Carley Ulrich had nine kills, Avery Griffin eight and Kylie Trlicek five.
Trlicek led the team in assists with 16 and Clara Bundick added 14.
Ashtyn Smith led the team in digs with 18, Ulrich had 13 and Trlicek had 13.
Williams had two blocks and Ulrich and Hannah Gross each had one.
Ulrich led in aces with three. Kyla Colon and Trlicek had two and Haedyn Cooper and Gabby Hollek each had one.
The winner of Monday’s match advances to face the Bridge City/Hardin-Jefferson winner.
