Local Volleyball Teams Keep Rolling

La Grange

The La Grange volleyball team went to Navasota Friday and bashed the Lady Rattlers 25-5, 25-12, 25-11.

The victory improved the Lady Leps overall record to 24-14 and 5-1 in district.

The La Grange girls play at Giddings Tuesday and can officially clinch a playoff berth with a victory in that match.

22-4A Volleyball District

Bellville 6-0 La Grange 5-1 Caldwell 4-2 Smithville 2-4 Giddings 1-5 Navasota 0-6

Schulenburg

The Schulenburg volleybalk team defeated Louise Friday 25-14, 25-11, 25-11 as the Lady Horns improved to 26-14 overall and 4-2 in district play.

Landry Zapalac had 32 assists and four aces in Friday’s victory. Greenli Van Zandt had 10 kills. Haylee Vacek had nine kills and Reagan Dusek and Clara Magliolo each had six kills. Jenna Guentert had 11 digs and four aces. Miranda Bonner had five aces and six digs.

RTC

The Round Top-Carmine volleyball team improved to 2-0 in district and 11-23-1 overall with a 25-3, 25-11, 25-3 victory against Waelder Friday.

Madison Markwardt had 14 assists and 15 aces in that match. Bree Dooley had 11 kills. Jessica Rohde had six kills. Morgan Nelius had 10 assists. Makayla Smith had four aces and three kills.

Fayetteville

The Fayetteville volleyball team defeated Prairie Lea Friday 25-7, 25-10, 25-11 as the Lady Lions improved to 24-11 overall and 2-0 in district.
