LG Boys Soccer Loses 4-1
The La Grange boys soccer team fell to the number oneranked Salado Eagles in a physical high energy battle Friday at Leopard Stadium. The Leps took an early lead with a transition goal from Jeffrey Cabrera. Aldo Hernandez was responsible for the pass and has now recorded a stat in five of the last six games. But the Eagles would respond with two first half goals. The Eagles continued to push the pace and scored two more goals in the second half to seal the game.
“Despite the loss the Leopards have a lot to be proud of,” said head coach Zach Mueller. “The Leps are now only the second team to score on Salado through 12 games of district.”
Keeper Ramon Ortiz had 15 saves. The Leps, who are 12-6 overall and 8-4 in district host Rockdale Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Coach Barry Donovan, channeling fellow coach Ted Lasso, “Losing stings like a sunburn on a rainy day. But that goal represents a seed that we planted. Let’s see what grows from it next week. Heads up, chins out.”
