Both La Grange varsity soccer teams won their district openers Tuesday against Taylor.

The Lady Leps went to Taylor and won 1-0 on a first half goal by freshman Lily Banks with an assist coming from Raylee Gutierrez.

“With a 1-0 lead, the Lady Leps played stellar team defense - bending but not breaking,” said head coach Barry Donovan.

Tuesday’s game marks the third consecutive shutout for the Lady Leps, who are now 3-0 and 1-0 in district.

The Lady Leps varsity hosts Cameron this Friday at 7:15 p.m.

Meanwhile the La Grange boys hosted Taylor and also won 1-0 on a goal early in the second half by Aaron Torres off an assist from Raul Mancera.

The Leps are 5-1-1 overall and 1-0 in district and play at Cameron Friday.
