Leps Fall to Franklin In Football Scrimmage

The La Grange football team traveled to Franklin Thursday to play the always tough Lions.

Here’s what head coach Kyle Cooper had to say about the scirmmage: “I am very proud of the hard-nose physical football we played in the scrimmage. Both La Grange and Franklin 1 units scored once in the scrimmage portion. Franklin won the live half of play140. The slot-t is a tough offense to prepare for on a short week, but I thought our kids executed well. Franklin is a tough physical football program and we matched their play. We have to continue to execute better each week on both sides of the ball but I am excited about the heartbeat of this football team,” Cooper said.

The Leps begin the regular season Friday at Cameron, which the Leps beat 52-49 in overtime last season.
