The La Grange baseball team bashed Caldwell 15-1 Tuesday to improve to 9-9 and 3-3 in district.

Max Dixon had three hits and three runs for the Leps. Hunter Sabo had two hits and three RBIs. Kyler Lamza hit a double.

Ty Stark pitched 4.1 innings of one-run ball for the Leps before Braxton Dahse closed out the game in relief.

The game was called after five innings because of the mercy rule. The Leps return to action Friday at home at 7 p.m. against Navasota.

Friday is also Future Leps night. Kids will be admitted free to the ballpark and are encouraged to wear their favorite jersey or La Grange shirt. They will be allowed to go on the field with the players for the national anthem. Kids are asked to come to the back of the home dugout by 6:50 p.m. to participate. There will also be silent auction items benefit-ting the team at Friday’s game.
