Legendary Astros Broadcaster Bill Brown to Visit Round Top July 10

The Round Top Family Library is proud to announce that legendary Houston Astros broadcaster Bill “Brownie” Brown will be the featured guest in its FYI Presents… Series on Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m.

Brown served as the playby- play voice of the Astros for more than 30 years, becoming one of the most beloved figures in Houston sports history. His contributions to the game have earned him spots in the Astros Media Wall of Honor (2011), the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame (2014), and most recently, the Astros Hall of Fame (2023).

He will speak about his career in broadcasting and his new book, Warrior Athletes, which highlights the mind-set and determination of elite competitors. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

A reception will follow the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.
