This year’s Lady Leps are making history – in more ways than one.

With Thursday’s 64-50 area round playoff victory over Salado, the 2026 La Grange girls basketball team tied the program record for wins in a season. They also tied the mark for the longest playoff run in LHS girls basketball history.

This year’s Lady Leps now have a 30-8 record, tying the 2020 Lady Leps, who went 30-5.

Meanwhile, this year’s march to the third round of the playoffs is only matched by the postseason runs made by the 2010 and 2021 teams, which also both went to the third round.

Both those 2010 and 2021 teams lost in the third round but this year’s Lady Leps are still going and now advance to face Bridge City (31-2) Tuesday Feb. 24 at Grand Oaks High School in Spring in the regional semifinals.

If the Lady Leps can keep playing like they did Thursday, anything’s possible.

Campbell Cooper scored 31 points to lead La Grange Thursday. Avery Griffin and Macie Collier each scored nine. Kylie Trlicek scored seven, Hannah Gross four, and Ashtyn Smith and Ella Nygren each scored two. Griffin led in rebounding with 11 and Cooper had nine. Cooper and Trlicek each had six steals. Trlicek had six assists and Nygren had five.
