Lady Leps Push Bellville to the Brink
Despite the Loss, Lady Leps Have Already Clinched Playoff Berth Heading Into Regular Season’s Final Week
The La Grange volleyball team came within one point of knocking off district-leading and No. 9 state-ranked Bellville Friday in a five-set thrillers in the Lady Leps home finale. Bellville won 25-19, 25-27, 25-15, 17-25, 16-14.
The loss drops the Lady Leps to 24-15 overall and 5-3 in district with two matches left to play. Carley Ulrich led the Lady Leps in kills with 23. Avery Griffin had 11. Kylie Trlicek and Brion Williams had seven and Kenna Lamza had five. Trlicek had four aces and 28 assists. Clara Bundick had 13 assists. Ashtyn Smith had six assists and 16 digs. Haedyn had 10 digs.
