Lady Leps Move Into Sole Possession of First Place in District Hoops

The La Grange girls basketball team went to Navasota Friday and escaped with a 5149 victory. The win vaults the Lady Leps into sole possession of first place with a 5-0 district mark and a 23-8 overall record. The Lady Leps host Smithville Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The La Grange boys basketball team lost at Navasota Friday 78-42 as the Leps dropped to 17-9 overall and 2-1 in district. Brandon Mathis scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds for the Leps. Conner Brooks scored eight, Hunter Gross and Mason Kleiber six, Cole Collier five and Scott Davis two. The Leps host Smithville this Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
