The La Grange girls basketball team had a dominant postseason opener Monday as they beat Sealy 71-30 in Schulenburg to win the bidistrict title. The Lady Leps improved to 29-8 with the win and now face Salado (287) in the second round of the 4A playoffs Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Thrall. The winner of that game advances to face the Bridge City/Wheatley winner.

London Broussard led La Grange in scoring with 19 points. Kylie Trlicek scored 18 along with 10 steals and eight assists. Macie Collier scored 12, Campbell Cooper eight, Ashtyn Smith four. Mylah Blaschke and Hannah Gross scored three each and Ella Nygren and Gaby Hollek scored two each.
