La Grange Sweeps Navasota at Home Friday on the Diamond

The La Grange baseball team improved to 10-9 overall and 4-3 in district with Friday’s 9-2 victory at home against Navasota.

Ty Stark pitched five innings of one-run ball, striking out seven. Braxton Dahse pitched two innings of onerun relief. Oliver Gunn doubled and tripled for the Leps and drove in two runs. Max Dixon had two hits and three RBIs. Hunter Sabo and Dalton Janacek also had two hits each. Stark tripled and scored twice. The Leps play at Navasota Tuesday.

Softball Wins 10-0

The La Grange softball team beat Navasota 10-0 Friday to improve to 16-8 and 7-2 in district. They are one game behind district-leading Smithville.

Brooke Ulrich pitched a complete game five-hitter with six strikeouts. Landri Hernandez had three hits and score three runs. Iylah King and Brooke Ulrich had two hits each. Natalia Soto hit a triple and Kylin Brawley hit a double. The playoff-bound Lady Leps play their final regular season game Tuesday at Navasota.
