La Grange senior point guard Kylie Trlicek scored her 1,500 career point in Tuesday’s Lady Leps’ win over Smithville.

After the game she and her teammates celebrated with a pair of commemorative banners and a keepsake basketball to honor the accomplishment of all those points.

“It definitely means a lot,” Trlicek said of reaching that milestone. “All the work I have put into it, the dedication I’ve had, it means a lot to meet that goal.”

Trlicek scored a lot of those points in her first three years on varsity under head coach Heath Golan, but new La Grange head Coach Ryan O’Neal said he has been fortunate to have her in his first year leading the team.

“What she brings to us as a point guard is really big,” O’Neal said. “She gets everybody involved. She’s very quick on defense and we love her leadership. She’s tough. She’s battling through an injury right now. I’m glad she got
