Of Note: The Leps have lost three games in a row, but a win today could put the Leps right back in the playoff hunt. Junior quarterback Eli Gillum passed the 1,000yard passing mark for the season in last week’s game. He’s thrown for 1,005 yards (143 a game) so far this season and has also run for a team-high 773 ... Caldwell is led by Coy Becka, who has run for 1,080 yards this season (154 a game) ... The stakes are huge in this one for the Hornets. Caldwell could clinch a playoff berth with a victory but the Hornets have not made the playoffs since 2017 ... The Leps host Giddings next week in the final home game of the season.

Last meeting: La Grange beat Caldwell 52-35 last year as Dwodney Thompson returned kicks 90 and 95 yards for touchdowns. The Leps forced for turnovers. Caldwell ran for 349 yards.
