La Grange vs. No. 10 Bellville When: 7:30 p.m. Friday Where: La Grange Records: La Grange is 3-3 overall and 0-1 in district. Bellville is 4-2 and 1-0 in district.

Of Note: The Leps are playing their first home game in a month coming off a frustrating loss to Madisonville last week in which they forced five turnovers but still lost 52-34. Run-heavy Bellville is coming off a 35-20 victory over thenstate ranked and previously unbeaten Sealy last week. That win vaulted the Brahmas into the state rankings at No. 10. Defense has been the strength of Bellville. They haven’t allowed more than 20 points in a game since the season opener. Their two losses are to state-ranked squads Celina and Columbus ... La Grange’s Dwodney Thompson scored three touchdowns last week and had two takeaways on defense, and quarterback Eli Gillum ran for 118 yards.

Last meeting: Bellville ran for 562 yards as they beat the Leps 63-20 last year.
